Diplômée en photographie, Laurie Colson est conduite vers l’image en mouvement par sa passion du cadre et de la narration. Depuis vingt-cinq ans, elle mène de front une carrière de réalisatrice – notamment avec Guru, une famille hijra, regard intime sur le troisième genre en Inde – et une activité de cheffe décoratrice sur des longs métrages tels que Grave et Titane, de Julia Ducournau, ou Reflet dans un diamant mort, de Hélène Cattet et Bruno Forzani. 

A photography graduate, Laurie Colson was drawn to moving images by her passion for photo composition and narration. For the past 25 years, she has been juggling a career as a director – notably with Guru, a Hijra Family, an intimate look at the third gender in India – with work as a production designer, on feature films such as Raw and Titane by Julia Ducournau, and Reflection in a Dead Diamond by Hélène Cattet and Bruno Forzani.
