After studying painting and history of architecture, Katharina Kubrick started her career in cinema scouting locations for Barry Lyndon. She went on to work as a prop maker, draughtswoman and model maker, on such films as The Spy Who Loved Me, The Shining, Full Metal Jacket, The Dark Crystal and Eyes Wide Shut.
