PROSPECT

In a rickety ship and with rusty equipment, a down-and-out father and his space-smart daughter Cee blast off to prospect for gemstones on a distant moon, rich in resources. But a Wild West shootout leaves her greedy father dead. Cee’s forced to “team up” with a prospector of “flexible” morals, as they fight off bandits and a ruthless cult community in a countdown to escape to Earth, a planet she’s never seen.

Prospect is light years away from Star Wars, whose high-tech dazzle almost seems sterile alongside this intimate and atmospheric tale of survival in the wilderness of untamed space.
