After studying educational science, complemented bn volunteer work at a cinema club, Luc Engélibert became a programmer for an art house cinema. Still just as passionately committed to bringing film to the public today, he runs the Espace Cinéma, which programmes four art-house cinema complexes in and around Paris. For the last two year he has been the national delegate for Cinémas de Recherche (80 cinemas) for the Association Française des Cinémas Art et Essai. In 2000, he founded CDEC, habit for mission the organisation of cinematic events. Since 2003, he has been the artistic director of Rencontres Henri Langlois, an international directors their first opportunity to present their work to the public.
