On the Icelandic moors, a sheep-farming couple lead a peaceful life. The only thing missing from their happy existence is a child. When a lamb is born, they realise it could fulfil their expectations, but their daily life is quickly disrupted by the arrival of an unstable brother.

Lamb is a superbly-crafted first feature, a family drama fuelled by Norse mythology. Iceland’s mist-shrouded landscapes generate a feeling of unease, which is considerably amplified when the story takes a sharp detour into the fantastic. An original work that marks the debut of an exciting filmmaker.
