Dans un petit village du Brésil, Ismaël grandit auprès de sa mère maquerelle. Lassé de cette existence et de son surnom de « fils de pute », il prend la route avec son chien savant à la recherche de son père. Un périple initiatique jalonné de rencontres aussi improbables qu’émouvantes.

Figure majeure de l’animation pour adultes depuis les années 1970, Otto Guerra s’entoure ici de trois coréalisateurs pour réaliser Le Fils de pute. In a small village in Brazil, Ismael grows up with the nickname “Son of a Bitch” because of his mother, who runs a brothel. Fed up with this life, he sets out on a road trip with his talking dog in search of his father. The ensuing journey of self-discovery is marked by a series of unlikely yet moving encounters.

Otto Guerra – a major figure in adult animation since the 1970s – teamed up with three co-directors to make Son of a Bitch. Blending irreverent humour with a poetic, dreamlike atmosphere and a Lynchian touch, the film offers a sensitive reflection on lineage, the shaping of identity and the possibility of escaping the destiny that society assigns to us.
