The film traces the history of Brazil over a period of six centuries through the life of Abeguar, who combats all types of oppression at the side of the most vulnerable in his search for his lost love Janaína. The story begins in 1566 among the Tupinambá Indians, who are struggling against the Portuguese colonists who will later bring about their extinction. Abeguar then finds himself in 1825, in the middle of the anti- and pro-slavery turmoil. In 1968, he fights alongside democratic revolutionaries against the military dictatorship. Still a revolutionary, in 2096 he fights to help the poorest of the poor obtain drinking water. Grand Prix at the 2013 Annecy Festival of Animated Films.
