LATE PHASES

Ambrose is a blind Viet Nam war vet,  with a delightfully sarcastic wit that o ends most around him. Things start badly in his new home amongst smug self-righteous retirees. He insults the welcoming committee and his dog and neighbour are brutally killed during the night. The police say wild dogs, but Ambrose flares a fiercer beast, and with his merciless military logic, prepares for the next full moon. Senior-citizen tranquillity has been perturbed before in comedies like Bubba Ho-tep and Cockneys vs. Zombies. But Bogliano opts for a darker vein in this old-school werewolf horror  film  with impressive creature prosthetics and chilling transmogrification scenes.
