A placid adolescent discovers a hole at the bottom of the garden, the remains of an unfinished shelter. One night, he throws his parents and sister into it and continues his life alone in their large home. His family is at his mercy for their survival, but he no longer seems to have any feelings left.
John and the Hole explores cold and clinical family relationships and the psychology of an unfinished being who radically changes course with no regard for the morality or the consequences of his act. A chilling and cruel work, illuminated by a brilliant young actor, both fragile and monstrous, walking on a tightrope.
