CATCH ME DADDY

Laila, a young Pakistani, has run off with her boyfriend. A group of petty hoods have been hired to bring her back home to her father. But things escalate into an ugly manhunt in this dark tale, as dark as the inky night closing in on the star-crossed lovers in their bolt for freedom.
Daniel Wolfe depicts a universe of sordid lives, drug addiction and con nement, focusing as much on the pursuers as the pursued. Far from the aesthetics of social realism, Catch me Daddy is highly stylised and visually innovative, but these only heighten the reality of the gritty world before us. Only the melancholy beauty of the Yorkshire moors or moments shared by the two lovers offer any respite.
