After beginning his career at StudioCanal, Jérôme Rougier joined Wild Bunch Distribution in 2004. He was head of marketing and acquisitions before taking over the management of the company in 2017, and co-directing production. He is currently co-head of development at N9ne Studio, a film co-production company launched in 2022 which is unique in that it covers 100% of development costs for French and international independent film producers.
