EXHUMA
(PAMYO)

Jang Jae-hyun

2

An investigation into a series of paranormal events leads two shamans to a mysterious tomb. Their purification ritual unleashes dark ancestral forces.

Jang Jae-hyun’s fine-tuned mise-en-scene and story deeply rooted in the country’s turbulent history, has finally earned a shaman film, a subgenre of Korean horror since the 1970s, rightfully deserved acclaim. Starring the likes of Old Boy actor Choi Min-sik, Kim Go-eun of Goblin fame and the K-pop king G-Dragon, it’s no wonder that Exhuma created a veritable sensation upon its release, in both Korea and several other Asian countries.
