The Earth is hit by a series of earthquakes, causing temperatures to plummet. In Seoul, the inhabitants of the only building still standing try to organise and protect themselves from the attacks of homeless survivors. Concrete Utopia is the adaptation of a webtoon, or Korean digital comic strip, by Kim Soong-Nyoong, which describes various episodes of survival in a devastated post-apocalyptic world. The film stands out for its impressive scenes of mass destruction, but above all for the intelligence of its narrative, which demonstrates once again that humans are ultimately their own worst enemy and the greatest danger to themselves.
