Films of a midsummer night:
the magic of cinema unfolds under the stars

Every Friday evening, from 3 July to 28 August, join us in Strasbourg’s parks to enjoy a selection of films in the open air. A free event, accessible to all, including persons with disabilities.

From 6pm, take in the warmth of the last rays of sunshine to the beat of DJ sets from the local music scene. Entertainment, food vans and refreshment stalls will be on site. For maximum comfort, remember to bring your blankets, deckchairs or loungers.

Screenings begin around 10pm in July and 9.30pm in August. As night falls, take your seat in front of our giant screen… and let the film begin.

Organised jointly with the association Speaker.

One Upon a Time in the West (C’era una volta il West)

Directed by Sergio Leone

With Henry Fonda, Claudia Cardinale, Charles Bronson

Italy, USA · 1968 · 2hr47 · in French

Sergio Leone embarked on his American trilogy with the definitive spaghetti Western, a reflection on the birth of a nation coupled with an epic tale. Charles Bronson, Claudia Cardinale and Jason Robards come up against a barely recognisable Henry Fonda as a steely eyed villain.

Leone’s direction, magnificently complemented by Ennio Morricone’s heart-wrenching score, had never seemed so expansive and so ambitious.
