Après un attentat manqué contre de riches propriétaires, Hélène s’enfuit dans la forêt, abandonnant ses compagnons activistes. Manon, son amie et complice, revient la hanter. Ensemble, elles revisitent le dilemme violence/inaction dans le contexte d’un monde en pleine mutation.

After a failed attempt on the lives of wealthy landowners, Hélène flees into the forest, abandoning her fellow activists. Manon, her friend and accomplice, returns to haunt her. Together, they revisit the issue of taking violent action versus no action at all in the context of a rapidly changing world.

Félix Dufour-Laperrière belongs to a new generation of Quebec-based, animation filmmakers, dedicated to a totally independent and profoundly sensorial cinema. Films that blend politics and the oneiric in a rare form of animated poetry, to remind us of the urgent need to preserve what still makes the world worth living in: the gentleness of relationships, friendship and kindness towards others.
