Darcy, a young blind woman who works in an oddity shop, is convinced she can communicate with the afterlife. After the murder of her twin sister, she sets out to reveal the killer using a creepy wooden mannequin from a collection of cursed objects.
Damian Mc Carthy’s surprising fantasy detective story manages to make you laugh and shiver at the same time. The director focuses on atmosphere, using the unique décor an eerie manor house, with such sensitivity and creativity that he might well encourage some viewers to leave on the lights when they get home at night, just as a precaution, of course.
