Mad Dog Morgan is a wild and rough story of a 19th–century bushman, inspired by a real-life person. After six brutal years in prison, he roamed the outback, with his Aboriginal sidekick, to wreck revenge on the British authorities.
Dennis Hopper, boosted by stupefying quantities of alcohol during the filming, considered his portrayal of Morgan as one of his finest artistic achievements.
