After being declared dead, ex-cop Kennedy continues to serve his former corrupt superiors as their henchman, but he quickly takes advantage of his missions to quench his very personal thirst for revenge.
Anurag Kashyap continues to test the limits of the thriller and film noir and revels in exploding their codes and usual narrative structures. Based on real events, Kennedy is part revenge film, part gangster film and part fantasy feature. It also provides Kashyap with the opportunity to lambast local and global politics, especially those surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic.
