7 BOXES

Set in modern-day Paraguay. 17-year-old Victor just manages to make ends meet by making a few deliveries with his pushcart at a huge, labyrinthine market. One evening, he accepts an unusual offer to earn money by delivering 7 boxes – the contents of which are unknown to him – in exchange for half a$100bill, the torn-off other half of which will be handed to him once he has completed his job. However, what was supposed to be just a simple delivery job quickly turns into a breathless chase in which he finds himself inevitably involved but about which he knows nothing… A fast-paced, brilliantly directed thriller that plunges us into the heart of the market in Asunción, which is the film’s real protagonist, a place where all Paraguay an communities and social classes mix together.
