THE TINGLER

A forensic scientist comes up with a theory about a parasite that is said to develop in the spine of people overcome by fear but disappears when its human host screams. The Tingler is a magnificent example of William Castle’s fantastic cinema, where the action often continues off-screen. The character played by Vincent Price is in a way an extension of the filmmaker’s study and analysis of fear.
