In the future, a small group of disabled people called Mutant Action, decides to kidnap the daughter of an industrialist. Álex de la Iglesia’s first film is perhaps also his craziest, a succession of completely hallucinatory scenes and characters, produced by a Pedro Almodovar tuned in to the excess of this newcomer. Symptomatic of an era when Spanish cinema was anything but lukewarm, the film quickly became cult.
