K-SHOP

Distribution: Program Store

K-shop could be a story of triumphant immigration but is ultimately a horror tale full of devastating cynicism. Salah, a young hard-working and promising student, observes the daily work of his father, the owner of a small restaurant in a town in which a great deal of binge-drinking takes place every weekend. When his father is killed by mindless youths out for violence, he abandons his ambitions and turns anyone who crosses his threshold into kebab meat. Don Pringle’s rst full-length movie proves to be an angry work with a social message.
