A judoka traumatised by the loss of his son agrees to teach judo in a remote valley in Italy, where he discovers a community that protects a young boy who’s almost considered a saint and whose embraces provoke calm and ecstasy.

Paolo Strippoli continues his exploration of highly emotional fantasy. Following on from Flowing, screened at the Festival in 2023, he looks beneath the surface of a small town where tranquillity and chaos are kept apart by the presence of this young man with strange powers and an almost Christ-like status. In the Italy of today, the study of this deeply divided microcosm has a strong metaphorical dimension.
