In the light of the health constraints associated with the Covid-19 pandemic, the Strasbourg European Fantastic Film Festival has decided to postpone its next edition to 2021, while continuing to support the creation of genre films in a different way until the end of 2020 through its Three Fantastic Weekends.
This will consist of three 3-day weekends during which new features, retrospective films and shorts will be screened in all the city’s cinemas.
The Festival’s high artistic quality will be maintained throughout these weekend programmes of fantastic films, thrillers and animated films.
“Three Fantastic Weekends” will be held from:
– 18 to 20 September,
– 30 October to 1 November and
– 27 to 29 November 2020.
The digital section of the Festival devoted to virtual reality experiences and video games will run continuously at the Shadok from 12 September to 28 November as well as on a digital platform developed by VRrOOm on the VR Chat platform.
In a difficult and unprecedented situation, the Strasbourg European Fantastic Film Festival reinforces its commitment to support directors, producers, distributors and cinema exhibitors by continuing to show the public the best of genre cinema.
