The EuroGenre 2024 pro-meetings are back and will be held in the framework of the 17th Strasbourg European Fantastic Film Festival, which runs from 20 to 29 September.
The Festival inaugurated Eurogenre in 2023 to highlight European creators of genre films, which are widely defined as fantastic, horror, science-fiction, thrillers and black comedy, Support for 2023 Eurogenre was provided by the Culture Fund of the 2021-2023 « Strasbourg European Capital » triennial contract.
To be eligible, submitted projects must:
- be a European feature-fiction film;
- satisfy the definition of genre as defined above, and be either animated or filmed live action;
- include a teaser, a promo link, or images presented on a mood board or similar support.
All phases of the film’s development are eligible, such as writing, preproduction, postproduction.
Selected projects will be pitched to industry professionals on Tuesday, 24 September. EuroGenre will cover accommodation and travel expenses for both the director and producer.
The application form (below) must be completed before 30 June.
