TERRA FORMARS

In 2599, the Earth faces the threat of overpopulation. However, 500 years earlier scientists sent cockroaches to Mars to make the planet habitable. After a first colonisation attempt has failed, the government secretly mounts a second expedition made up of criminals, who will discover that the little insects have turned into humanoids with superhuman strength. They will have to deal with them by making use of genetic mutations that give them the nimbleness of giant insects.
The prolific Japanese director returns with a powerful adaptation of the hit manga by Yu Sasuga and Kenji Tachibana, blending science fiction, humour and epic action scenes, as only Miike knows how to do.
