Angelo is 10 years old and dreams of becoming an adventurer and explorer. He has his wish when he is accidentally left at a motorway rest area and has to go through a mysterious forest inhabited by strange creatures to get back to his beloved grandma. Into the Wonderwoods is an adaptation of Winshluss’ cult children’s comic strip Dans la forêt sombre et mystérieuse, with even more weird characters and adventures than in the original. In addition to being an excellent feature film for both young and old, it is further proof that inventiveness and creativity provide far superior entertainment to soulless big-budget productions.
