Ranging from cinema to manga, and including video games, novels and dance, these demonic creatures have even managed to infiltrate all the artistic media. But it is thanks to cinema that they have risen to the status of pop culture “stars”.
This documentary opens the door to a secret and disturbing side of Japan: the world of vengeful spirits and invisible forces that sow chaos, madness and terror in a polite, ultra high-tech Japanese world.
