What’s a speedrun?
It’s a play-through of a video game with the intention of completing it as fast as possible, even if this means using short-cuts and other game bugs. The Festival’s video games section is organising the first speedrun marathon in the Grand Est Region, in which several Alsatian “runners” will take turns at the Shadok to play quickly – very quickly in fact. Each run will be commented on in situ and live streamed on Twitch.
On the menu: Ikakura on Metal Gear Rising, Izumi on Streets of Rage 2, Jigfio on Dino Crisis, DrHell on Haunting Ground, Xylo sur Myst, and so forth.
