Discussion forum and book signing with Eric Powell and Thierry Mornet, Comics Content Editor at Delcourt and author of the reference work Comics, les indispensables de la BD américaine.
Eric Powell is a self-taught artist who was born and lives in Nashville. He decided to opt for a career as a comics author so he wouldn’t have to leave his house.
Since 1995, he has been working with Marvel, DC Comics and, more particularly, Dark Horse. However, success came with his own title The Goon. The black, offbeat humour of this series scored on the spot, and after a few issues had been published by a vanity press under the Albatross imprint, the series was taken over by Dark Horse. The Goon is being adapted for the cinema by the Blur studio and David Fincher. Powell is also the author of Chimichanga, a series for allages.
