Alan Jones is an internationally renowned horror fantasy journalist. The first movie he extensively covered was Star Wars in 1977 – the latest, Hammer’s The Quiet Ones. London correspondent for the seminal CFQ magazine 1977-2002, Starburst critic 1980-2008, Fangoria set reporter for a decal-de, Shivers editor and London Critics Circle member, he also writes for The Dark Side, and Total Film. His bestselling books: The Rough Guide to Horror Movies, Tomb Raider Companion, Profondo Argento and Saturday Night Forever: The Story of Disco. He featured in The Great Rock’n’Roll Swindle and Shaun of the Dead and regularly appears on TV in Punk and Disco documentaries because of his good friend Sid Vicious and Disco Discharge CD series he creates. He currently co-directs the UK’s biggest horror festival, the London FrightFest.
