In 2123, fertile land has completely disappeared, forcing humans to live under huge glass domes. A population-control policy requires anyone over 50 to be turned into … a tree. In this bleak world, Stefan tries to find his wife Nora, aged 32, who has left to be “modified” prematurely. White Plastic Sky is an indie film that looks like a blockbuster, and which questions current environmental issues as much as it does timeless ethical choices: what if the solution to preserving our planet were simply to rid it of all humans?
