ROLLERBALL

John McTiernan

In the not-too-distant future, Jonathan Cross is the star of rollerball, an ultra-violent sport designed to channel the violence of an appeased society. However, he gradually realises that the participants are no more than pawns in the service of the big corporations.

John McTiernan adapted William Harrison’s novel at a time when spectator sport had become mass entertainment. The spectacular meets clairvoyant dystopia!
