TRASH FIRE

World Sales: Snowfort Pictures

Owen and Isabel are in therapy. Owen is an unhappy misfit whose wisecracks alienate those around him, especially Isabel’s friends and family, and their therapist. He is also subject to seizures, triggered by memory ashes from a traumatising past of which he remembers little, except that his sister was horribly dis gured in a fire. Together he and Isabel set out to confront it.
Richard Bates Jr., whose Excision won the Jury Special Mention prize at the Festival in 2012, returns with a film that begins as a romantic comedy but quickly turn toxic.
