15-year-old Adam is afflicted with a unique condition: his body changes in response to the mockery he endures from those around him. All of these physical changes further complicate what is already a very challenging situation for him. Multidisciplinary artist Joël Vaudreuil drew heavily on his own memories to put together the story of his debut feature film. While the visual style may seem graphically inspired by the morally-void cult TV show Beavis and Butthead, the story itself is exceptionally endearing. An extraordinary film about teen angst – and about how it can be (or could have been) avoided.
