WETLANDS

Helen is a teenager obsessed by her body her vagina pubic hair and all kinds of secretions. In contrast to her mother she opts in particular for extremely dubious principles of hygiene. After cutting herself while shaving her private parts she has to be operated on and tells a male nurse all about her obsessions and fantasies. Through her provocative acts the young woman seeks reunite her parents.
Beyond its crude trivial erotic and somewhat deviant aspects Wetlands explores the subject of sensitive adolescence with considerable understanding. The film deals with the family break-up and its consequences without ever abandoning its humour and a certain candour.
