TURBO KID

Set in the wasteland of a post-apocalyptic parallel future of 1997, an orphaned teenager named the Kid scavenges for relics that he trades for fresh water, the most valuable commodity in this toxic land. He meets Apple, a girl with un appable humour. But she’s kidnapped by Zeus, the sadistic and garrulous leader of the wasteland. The Kid must face his destiny: destroy Zeus and get the girl.
Turbo Kid is a futuristic action film, with a love story at its core. With its retro-aesthetic, both visually and in terms of the narrative, the lm is the directors’ love song to the Bs and Zs of the past, Mad Max and the BMX Bandits gang, with plenty of dark humour and over-the-top splatter and gore.
