An ambitious student seeks calm and solitude to focus on his work. He nds himself in a residence resembling a bunker inhabited by a couple who home school their son Klaus. They ask him to handle Klaus’s education, who turns out to be having great di culty in taking in what he has been taught in this rather destabilising family environment.
The Bunker is a phenomenon originating from Berlin’s independent film scene. With its Lynchian ambience, its ashes of quirky humour and its perfectly chosen actors, it is reminiscent of The Samurai, another Berlin film presented at the festival in 2014 and also starring the mysterious Pit Bukowski.
