In the 15th century, a magician, in mourning for his companion, is visited by a strange raven who asks him to break the spell that has been cast upon him, so that he can once again become human. This loose adaptation, written by Richard Matheson, of Edgar Allan Poe’s poem, is a skilful mix of comedy and baroque lyricism, with sumptuous decors and three excellent actors.
