From 2007 onwards, Julien Maury formed together with Alexandre Bustillo the iconic directorial duo of French horror cinema with the film Inside. This was followed by Livid, Among the Living, the X chapter of the anthology ABCs of Death 2, and Leatherface, the prequel to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. In 2021, they returned with Kandisha and The Deep House.
