Building on its residencies for genre cinema, the French magazine Sofilm hosts short-film residencies in partnership with France’s Grand Est region, the CNC, the Sacem, Canal+, the Saint-Quirin screenwriting residency (Centre de résidence de l’écriture à l’image), and the Festival.
Eight original science fiction and fantasy screenplays were crafted by young French directors and screenwriters as part of the 2023 “Sofilm de genre” residency programme. They will be read by professional actors, accompanied by music and on-screen images – a unique opportunity to discover these works in progress and an original approach to film development
