A couple in their thirties decide to leave Copenhagen with their son. They isolate themselves in a Swedish forest for several months as part of a social experiment but soon discover they are not alone in this remote place. A perfect double of the family lives on the other side of the lake.
Karoline Lyngbye crafts a doppelganger narrative without sliding into unbridled fantasy. Superposition explores contemporary issues, relationships between couples and problems of identity. Under the guise of surrealism, it addresses an almost philosophical question: what would we have to say to our other selves ?
