Outdoor cinema – Films of a Mid-Summer’s Night

Bring your own chairs, throws, picnic tablecloths, and don’t forget your preferred itchy critter repellent.

Every Friday evening from 4 July to 29 August, join us in the city’s different neighbourhoods for an eclectic selection of summer-night films. On the bill: an adventure film, a biopic, a journey into the natural world, a marvellous tale, a Hitchcockian thriller, two animated comedies, and an almost-love-story on opening night. With plenty of things to do before the silver screen lights up at twilight.


Practical stuff to know:

  • films are free of charge and suitable for all ages;
  • pre-movie fun begins at 6pm: DJ sets, games, thematic workshops and and more;
  • refreshments stands and food trucks onsite;
  • access for persons with reduced mobility;
  • movies begin at twilight.

Lost in Translation’s melancholy poetry of two lost souls in the immensity of Tokyo opens this edition of our outdoor cinema programme.

An influential film of full of surprises and reversals, and particular nerve-wracking tension; it’s not for nothing that Hitchcock is called the Master of Suspense.

Alexander Dumas’ masterpiece has been widely adapted for cinema in France and beyond. Delaporte and De La Patellière also write the screenplay for another Dumas adaptation, the 2023 film The Three Musketeers: D’Artagnan.
