A journalist is hired to document the very special performances
of a trio of artists who specialise in “sonic catering”. Serious
gastrointestinal problems prevent him from dispassionately
following their work in the residence to which they have been
invited by an influential patron. The journalist will be witness
to their growing differences behind the scenes. Flatulence and
contemporary gastronomic art are on the menu of Strickland’s
new gourmet feature film, which, after the disconcerting Berberian Sound Studio, The Duke of Burgundy and In Fabric, once again
proves that he thrives on creating audience malaise.
