Two high-school girls bored with life in the stilted and provincial bourgeoisie, turn to “evil” for amusement – killing pets, black masses, setting fires. But their antics are no longer amusing when they understand that they’ve gone too far. They appeal to the poètes maudits for a solution. A 1970s masterpiece, with an ending that still shocks today.
