In a vertical prison called “the pit”, inmates are divided into pairs on dozens of levels. Every day, a platform filled with delicious food is lowered from floor to floor, but the further it goes, the less food is left. A new arrival decides to rebel against this cruel distribution system.
No need to have seen the first film to be immediately captivated by the strange world of The Platform. Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia has succeeded in creating a perfectly successful sequel, brilliantly developing his thinking on the class struggle and painting a satirical and merciless portrait of human behaviour.
