THE LAST WAVE

Peter Weir

After a mysterious storm plunges Sydney into darkness, a young Aborigine is found dead and five others are accused of his murder. Their lawyer, who soon afterwards has disturbing visions, embarks on an obsessive quest for the truth, marked by paranoia.

Peter Weir’s third feature examines the chaos in store for Australian society and the guilt linked to the treatment of indigenous peoples, in a work clearly tinged with the fantastic.
