Mr. Crocket is a famous TV host whose programmes fascinate children, whether on television or VHS. Totally devoted to his young viewers, he will not tolerate their being told off or mistreated, to the point that he steps out of the TV screen to slaughter their parents and bring the little ones back into his own world.
Mr. Crocket could be seen as an episode of the children’s programme Club Dorothée on acid, where the famous French presenter turns out to be a psychopathic witch. At any rate, Mr. Crocket joins the pantheon of bogeymen we love to hate, like Chucky in Chucky, the Blood Doll or Freddy Krueger in A Nightmare on Elm Street.
