During the Second World War, in Japanese-occupied Philippines, Tala eagerly awaits her father’s return to an isolated mansion in the heart of the jungle. Her mother falls seriously ill and the teenager sets off in search of medicine. On the way, she meets a fairy who offers her a remedy, but at a very, very special price. Director Kenneth Dagatan has created a particularly macabre tale for adults. The plot, set deep in the jungle, already holds innumerable dangers for young Tala, but none so disturbing as the crickets singing. Chills guaranteed.
