Alien, le huitième passager

In 2122 the towing spaceship Nostromo is on a return trip to Earth. The ship’s computer picks up an SOS coming from an unknown planet and decides to wake the 7-member crew from cryogenic sleep.

Alien’s subtle chemistry, between artist H. R. Giger’s organic and tortuous creature and the dark meandering passageways of the space ship designed by Rob Cobb, revolutionised the way space is depicted in cinema. The film’s worldwide success, besides its three sequels, also inspired many imitators – fantastic films that indifferently copied the Alien model without ever mastering it.
